Work, work, work
So last night I spent considerable time getting the boat speakers wired in the new cans...after I finished, Joni looked at them and admitted they look REALLY good! I'm heading to Mark's tomorrow to run all the wiring in the tower and the only thing I still have left to buy is the amp, but I haven't found exactly what I want just yet. Technically I also need rubber grommets, but I hope to get them this afternoon...we'll see. I can't wait to finish and get back on the water...these lull times between wakeboarding and snowboarding kill me!
As for the Zackster, he's doing quite well, his little neck gets stronger each day, and he has learned to push off when we put him on our shoulders. He's smiling so much more, which I think tires him out because he's sleeping so much more also. We are trying to get him established in a routine now so at 8pm we are taking him upstairs for bed and settling him down in a dark room. By 9 he's out and has been sleeping until 4, fusses for about 15-20 minutes then back to sleep until 7ish. We're not sure what the 4am wake up call is all about, but he's consistantly done it for some time now. He doesn't want food, just attention. I think it may have something to do with the heating ducts since the temp of the house drops at night and the thermostat kicks in sometime in the AM to bring it back to comfortable. I don't know, I plan on picking up one of those plastic shields to mount over it to redirect the air horizontally across the room instead of right into his crib and we'll see if that makes a difference.
Joni is mentally preparing herself to go back to work at the end of the month. I know she's not excited about it..but I am! I just put in a request to take the last two days of the month off to spend with them before she goes back to work and Zack goes to daycare. I doubt we'll do anything, just spend time as a family. The time off may not get approved since we're releasing a major application the Sunday before and if there are issues I won't be going anywhere on Tuesday, but we'll see what happens, I can always work from home I guess, but I'd rather not be bothered with it. I guess that's all for now...
