Rollie Pollie (sp?)

So Zack has decided that he can get where he wants to go not by walking..not by crawling, but by rolling.  We put him in the middle of the loft the other day and in less then 30 seconds he was almost 10 ft away under the pool table.  There was no more avoiding the dreaded gate purchase.  Damn those things are expensive.  We only got one for the top of the steps but I can see now that more are in our future, especially since Zack's cousin Logan will be coming for a week long visit in August...and Logan is completely mobile.  To make matters worse, yesterday he figured out how to scooch forward using his toes to grip the carpet and lunge.  Joni said she caught him propping his butt up in the air and sliding forward, but I missed that one.  It won't be long I guess...I love watching him grow, but I'm going to miss him being so little...

In other news we are the proud new owners of an extremely expensive shelving system in our garage.  The cheapo one I built 4 years ago was working perfectly even though we kept quite a bit of weight on it.  Well about a month ago, the bottom shelf decided to collapse and destroy a bunch of Christmas breakables.  I thought I repaired it and all was well for a month until we got home Thursday night to find it laying on the ground with all our stuff on the ground too.  Well, I bit the bullet and put in the actual garage worthy set that is admittedly much stronger, but far more expensive...although the plus side of things we have 9 more linear feet of storage in the garage and I'm one step closer to sheet rocking the other side of the garage.  All I need now is to get some electrical wire so I can run a motion light or something in front of the garage...that or two lights on either side of it.
