Aquarium
We went to Delaware this weekend to spend time with my mom and my sister's family. Today, we took the boys to the Baltimore Aquarium. The absolutely loved it! Zack and Logan walked all over the place and couldn't wait to go from one exhibit to the next to see more fish. I think their favorite exhibit was either the dolphins or any of the bright colored fish (like Nemo looking fish). They often held hands as they walked around together and were just so cute as they did this. We found a children's play area where Zack played as much as possible in the sand table while Logan played the matching game with little animal figurines. Noah was great - there were just many times where he couldn't understand why he couldn't get down and run with the "big" boys. We only got asked once today if Zack and Logan are twins - but it didn't surprise us as they both have blond hair now and are pretty much the same size. Their small size did work to their advantage today because if there was a crowded exhibit they would sneak in front of all the adults and get up close but it didn't matter as they didn't block anyone's view. We timed things pretty good because as we sat down to lunch all three boys fell asleep so we were able to have a quiet meal.
After we got back to Kristy's house we took the boys to a playground near here. They are so big now it amazes me. Both Zack and Logan climbed up on the "big" kid jungle gym, walked all over it, then picked their favorite slide and went down it. The one jungle gym had a double slide that was great as they could both go down at the same time. There was so much static electricity on the slides that they both hadcrazy looking hair by the time they got to the bottom. Noah got to experience his first swing ride today with Kristy and Logan and Zack both got their first solo big kid swing ride. Steve put them on the swings one at a time and instructed them where to hold on to and both did great. Logan was much more daring and liked to go higher, while Zack liked the swing he just didn't like to go as high when he was by himself.
It was a great day - topped off by making a tent in the living room - but both were pooped by the time we were finished at the playground. Steve said it didn't even take Zack 5 minutes to fall asleep after he took him to bed.
