Today was bring a book day at school, oh excuse me, work, so Zack had his monkey book with him on the way home tonight. I looked in the rearview mirror and saw him biting/chewing the book so I told him to stop. He got upset, told the book he was sorry and gave it a hug and kiss. Feeling bad now that I scolded him, I told him not to worry that the book wasn't mad at him. He looked at me like, of course Mommy, and simply told me that "book forgives". He is such a sweet little boy.
