Monkey song
Zack has started to feed himself breakfast. As he normally wants waffles, this is a messy feat so we only let him if we put the tray on the highchair with the liner making it easier to wash. If we put him in the chair without giving him the tray he will tell us "Zack feed" or "tray liner" so that we know he wants to feed himself. This morning he was in his chair with the tray (but no liner) when Steve took the plate over with his waffle. Zack started to fuss a lot but we figured out why when he calmed down and said "Mommy get tray liner for Zack". Steve and I were shocked at his sentence. This may be his longest one yet!!
Tonight on the way home Zack and I had to sing most of the trip. The first song was "happy to you" song. We (or I) had to sing Happy Birthday to Zack, Zachary, Daddy, and Mommy. He is just so funny. Not even two months ago he would cry every time he heard this song and now we had to sing it over an over
We also had to sing the Five Little Monkeys. This time it took on a more intersting note. Zack started singing with me but it was quickly obvious that he didn't need/want me to sing too as it came out more like "yak-a-ry jumpin on bed. one fell off bumped head. no more yak-a-ries jumpin on bed". Zack proceeded to substitute in Mommy and Daddy as it suited him. As he was eating his grapes at dinner, he sang the song for all his friends at school. Where he comes up with this stuff I'll never know.
