We had a very relaxed day today, even with Zack getting us up at 6AM. I went to the gym this morning and then Steve, Zack and I went shopping. After doing a couple errands and grabbing lunch we ended up at Best Buy. We had a been shopping for a new laptop for me and we finally got it today!! Very exciting!! We are going to turn my old laptop into one that Zack can play with. It was so annoying to work with and had so many issues he can't hurt it.

Zack does not watch Barney. Steve and I have practically outlawed Barney as neither of us can stand him. However, I have watched my fair share of Barney when my cousins were small so I know some of the songs and sing them to Zack, including the Barney song. We were blowing bubbles this afternoon on the deck (we LOVE our new deck) when I started singing "I love you, you love me" before I paused. Before I could continue, Zack pipes in and says "we are happy family" and gives me his I'm-so-damn-cute-and-I-know-it smile. I think he amazes me every day with something else that he randomly remembers.

Our plan was to take Zack trick-or-treating on our street tonight and then let him hand out candy. This didn't work out so well because he had an early nap, and only for about an hour, so he was very tired and cranky by 6. We did dress him up in his pirate costume and let him hand out candy but didn't try the trick-or-treating. On one hand we didn't mind this as we don't really let him eat much candy and junk food but on the other hand we wanted him to experience it. He did have a great time handing out our candy and would get excited and run to the door every time the doorbell rang. The kids loved him but Zack kept telling them "thank you" like he was thanking them for taking our candy instead of "your welcome" when they said thank you. We'll see how things go and hopefully try trick-or-treating next year.
