Back Home
It is late but we are safely back home. We got here about 12:30 AM.
We left my parents at 8:30 to go to breakfast with them, Kristy, the boys, and Gram. You should have seen Zachary eat this morning. He had this huge blueberry pancake and ate more than half of it! It was sad saying good-bye to everyone but I don't think that Zack understood what was going on. In fact, I am sure of it because as we got close to DC, he started saying "go to GG's house" over and over. When we would say we're going home and that we can't go to GG's house, he would ask to go to Papa's house. Although Zack always referred to it as "Papa's house" he had just as much fun with Grandma. They played, colored, read books, ate snacks, and Zack gave Grandma plenty of hugs and kisses. It was so cute listening to him say good-bye to everyone and tell them all he loved them.
We stopped to see Pete, Thomi-lyn and the boys for a little while on the way home. It was nice getting to visit with them. Zack enjoyed playing with Bryan and Lady Bug.
As we got near Harrisburg we hit some traffic which surprised us. It didn't stop us but did slow us down. After getting through that the only other time we slowed down was in the normal spot where 495 rejoins 95 on the southside of DC.
We stopped at Potomac Mills for dinner and to do a little shopping. I needed a pair of jeans and Steve found some dress shirts for work. After getting back on the road, we put Aladdin in for Zack to watch. He fell asleep about half way through so I watched the rest to make the time pass by faster. It is such a long drive that anything to pass the time is worth it. Right now I am just looking forward to sleeping in my own bed...
