Zack's eye was still swollen this morning. Steve took him to sick hours and the doctor said he has some infection (don't remember the name), put him on antibiotics and is having us come back in the morning so that she can check it again to make sure it isn't getting any worse. Tonight it looked slightly less swollen but the pinkish-purplish color was spreading to underneath the eye. Steve ended up staying home today with Zack so they got some quality Daddy-Zack time.

I found out today that Toys 'R Us is having a big sale this weekend. That's great but the things they have on sale now are what we bought last weekend not on sale (or still not as cheap). I called and they will refund the price difference if you purchased the merchandise within 14 days of the sale and take your receipt in. So, Zack and I took a ride down there tonight to get some of our money back. All in all we got $20 back so it was worth the trip.

Before we left for the store, Zack had just gotten yelled at for pulling an ornament off the Christmas tree and was trying to touch the lights not even 2 minutes later so Steve was trying to get him to understand that we don't play with the tree. This was all good until he decided that he needed to say good-bye to the Christmas tree. He looks up innocently at Daddy then leans in, kisses the branch/yellow light, and says bye-bye Christmas tree. What could Steve say to that???

Zack and I also got some quality time in the car. His speech is amazing to me. In the car he told me "Ni Hao Ki-Lan DVD gone go find it Mommy". We sang songs and went over what all the animals say. Jingle Bells is turning out to be one of his favorite Christmas carols. Out of the blue he started cheering for Steve's hockey team saying "Let's go blue team". We were thirsty so we went through the drive-thru and got a drink. As we were waiting to pay for it Zack says "Yachary's drink Mommy no take it"! He thought for some reason that I was going to take his drink. What a knucklehead!
