Need toothpick for eyes!

I can tell you right now, by the end of the day I will have bounced my head off my desk at least once!  It's currently 7:53 and I've been here since 6:00 this morning.  I got up at 4 to go pick Joni's grandparents up at the train station and we were talking at the kitchen table; something we said reminded me that I had to come to work sunday night to swap out a dreadfully slow switch, to a big and beefy switch!  We figured rather then wait until Sunday, just come in and do it today.  So it is done, and it screams now, I mentioned my intentions before but never actually got around to doing it until now.  The whole reason I finally did it was because I need one final signature on a purchase order for *lots* of software ($6,000.00 worth) and the CFO struck a deal with me.  I get the PO when he gets 100MB/s transfers....
My parts finally came yesterday and look perfect on the truck, I can see now that I'm going to have to replace all the plastic with aluminum.  It's not just about looks, the aluminum is lighter and stronger then the plastic parts, and hey, it looks damn cool too!  I don't know if I'll get to take it out today, but if I do I'm sure Scott will go with me (Joni's brother).
Most of her immediate family came in last night so we spent a quiet evening at home enjoying each others company.  It wasn't really any change of pace, as Joni and I enjoy many quiet evenings at home.  We've gotten over the whole, drink, drink, drink, club, club, club thing; not that she was ever really into it to begin with.  I'd much rather spend the evening at home with 12 of my closest friends from the Yeungling family then "elbows-to-assholes" in some croweded smokey bar.  Hey, I just realized...tomorrow will be two years since I quit smoking!  It's amazing what you'll do for love!
