Even though Zack felt cooler to us this morning Steve worked from home with Zack today as he has to be without a fever for 24 hours before he can return to daycare. Steve called me mid morning and wanted to know if I wanted to meet them for lunch. Evidently Zack was showing no signs of being sick and was not letting Steve get any work done or hardly even touch his laptop.

So, we met for lunch at Chick-fil-A near my work. Zack was in heaven while we were there as the Chick-fil-A Cow was there greeting everyone. By the time we got inside, the Cow had gone out the other door to wave at people driving by. Zack loved that and we had to stand there and watch the cow. When I got him a high chair and we sat down, he told me that the cow could sit in the empty chair as the cow was my friend. However, we stopped paying attention to the cow for a few minutes so Zack could eat and his love for the cow stopped when he looked up and the cow was right behind him. He was very scared and started crying. The cow didn't want to scare Zack and tried to make him feel better but was smart enough to know when Zack wanted no part of it and walked away. After the cow left, we realized that Zack still loved the cow as long as he wasn't within reach. We had to watch every move the cow made until we left. As we were leaving the cow came back and because I was holding Zack he watched Steve and I give the cow five so he was brave enough to do that also. What a big boy!

Steve said that Zack was pretty good all afternoon and was very much like himself. When I got home he was running around all over the place and playing with everything. However, we were playing on the floor when he felt very warm to me. I took his temperature and it was back up to 102.4. We gave him some more motrin to help break it again. He was drooling a bunch tonight so now my theory is that maybe he is cutting his molars. I'm not sure and am not silly enough to stick my finger into his mouth to find out. We'll just have to see how he does tonight and how he is in the morning.

We had a very wet snow here tonight. We bundled Zack up and let him play on the porch in it for a few minutes. He tried to catch the flakes on his tongue and Daddy taught him how to throw a snowball so he had a lot of fun doing those things. Since he couldn't get the snowball over the railing, Daddy was kind enough to teach Zack to throw the snowball at the house! He was running around on the porch, spinning in circles, saying "I like snow". Nothing Zack said could have made Steve happier and it just makes him hope even more that there is a lot of snow when we go to Colorado.

As Steve just left for pick-up hockey practice and Zack has been soundly sleeping for a couple hours, I am going to go snuggle up on the couch with my blanket and read my book. Fun!
