Just another day

We had a great family day today! We slept in a little this morning and then Steve did some Christmas stuff while I cleaned up downstairs. Zack had a good day. He didn't go in the potty but he did ask to sit on it a couple times so that is a good step in the right direction. The first time we put him in a pull-up diaper (a couple weeks ago) was after he got a lollipop for peeing in the potty so now he calls them lollipop diapers. He is very adamant when he wants to wear one as he will bring it to me and say "yachary have lollipop diaper Mom". He's done pretty good with them so I'm hoping that will translate to going on the potty soon.

We did a little shopping this afternoon before meeting Mark, Linda, and Nick for dinner. We got home from that about 7:45 and put Zack right into bed. At 9:30 he was still awake so I brought him back downstairs. I was finally brave enough to put my finger in his mouth and checked to see if any molars were coming in. He let me do three of the sides easily but didn't want me to do the last one. I finally got him to let me and I found a tooth just barely poking through. As it is still so close to poking through I am sure that this is what caused his fever this week. His temperature was 99.8 this morning and got cooler as the day went on. As I have been told that teething can cause runny noses and fevers (he didn't have either with the other teeth) and as these were his only two symptoms I am sure this is the cause of his discomfort this week. I just hope he doesn't get a fever that high with the three other molars.
