Preparing for tomorrow

Today was the last day of freedom before returning to the real world. Or should I say, returning to the real world for the next 4 days before we go on vacation!

We spent a quality day together. Steve and Zack let me sleep into until 8 (when I got up and went to the gym). When I got home they were snuggling on the couch watching Cars so I joined them for a little while. We did our shopping this afternoon and then Steve went to ice hockey class tonight and I just put Zack down for bed.

Steve and Zack both got hair cuts this afternoon. Zack got his first hair cut in the chair all by himself. The stylist put this booster seat in the normal chair and Zack sat up on it like he was a king! He is well past the crying stage and actually let them use the clippers on him to trim around his neck and ears. I think what helped the most was the two lolli-pops that he got - a red one and a pink one. Once they were both gone he was done and kept telling the stylist that he was all done. Even still he sat there like a good little boy and has a cute hair cut now to boot! When we got home I gave him a bath and then he and I got some snuggle time on the couch while Steve cooked dinner. It is such a wonderful feeling to cuddle with him and he is so sweet when he raises his head and gives me a hug and kiss all on his own. I am certainly going to miss these days when he gets too big to snuggle with Mommy.

Zack is already down for thie night - or at least he is in his bed talking to himself - so I guess I should really do something productive, like wash the dishes or start packing for Thursday...nah, maybe I'll just watch some TV!!
