Well, last night was a little rough. I woke up at 3:53 this morning to the sound of Zack's turtle (a musical thing on his bed). I went in to check on him and he was wide awake. I laid him back down, tucked him in, put the turtle on again and told him it was still night time so he had to go back to sleep and I went back to bed. I flip flopped between being awake and asleep until about 4 when I heard "I want my Mommy, I want my Mommy, I want my Mommy" over and over on the monitor. I went in to Zack telling me "go lay down in Mommy Daddy bed" so I brought him back to bed with me. He laid down quietly and eventually went back to sleep. As Steve wasn't awake for any of this, he got up at normal time but Zack and I slept in until 8:30...so much for being at the gym when they opened.

We went to the mall today to do some shopping and let Zack play in the play area. With him being out of day care for almost 2 weeks now he hasn't gotten all of the physical activity that he is used to and really needed an outlet for his pent up energy. He had a great time. He has learned how to use the toes on one foot to push the shoe and sock off of the other foot so we have to be careful as we walk around that we don't lose his shoe. And each time he remembers about this little trick we spend at least 20 mintues putting his shoe on and off. If it was summer time I would just let him go barefoot but it is too cold here for that right now.

He had a decent nap today. We were downstairs after when he kept saying he wanted to "go night night again". Here is our conversation after.

Zack: Go upstairs and go night night again Mommy.
Me: Do you want to go back to your bed for another nap?
Zack: No, go upstairs lay down Mommy Daddy bed.
Me: You want to go to sleep in Mommy and Daddy's bed?
Zack: No, lay down Mommy Daddy bed and watch TV.

He had no desire at all to go back to bed but Daddy was watching football downstairs so he tried to use it as an excuse to get to watch what he wanted!! We try to keep his viewing of TV limited but based on his father's love for television, I don't think we stand a chance!
