With everything going on lately I haven't been able to keep my posts up to date. I am going to work on that going forward but I am warning you now that I am going to go against all blog rules and fill in the posts that I missed in the last month or so. I know that many family and friends read this to keep up with what is going on in our lives (OK, not Steve and I but with Zack) but to me the main purpose of this blog is to journal the happenings in Zack's life so that he will have it later in life. I learned early on that I don't have the patience to write a journal for him so this is the best that I can do.

We had a great day today together as a family. We got another inch or so of snow overnight. Luckily this time none of it affected the roads so I was able to get back to the gym this morning. After nap time, Zack and I went out and made his first snowman. We brought Steve out after so he could see it. Zack had a lot of fun watching Daddy throw snowballs at the fence. He also enjoyed using his snow shovel (a.k.a. plastic pancake spatula) to throw snow around. Zack and I would take turns throwing snowballs at each other and his laugh was loud and infectious whether he was getting Mommy or Mommy was getting him. We were out so long that his little hands were red but he still wouldn't come inside so I had to finally just bring him in. He loves playing in the snow so much that I felt bad making him stop.

We were in the truck tonight and although Zack was talking non-stop like normal he wasn't really talking to us. He spent the time singing to himself. He sang all the words to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, the alphabet song, and the Itsy-Bitsy Spider. Although he doesn't know all the words he would sing the ones he knows to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song including calling the characters in the correct order for Role Call. He did start telling me about the Handy Manny episode he watched where Manny fixed a robot. Not thinking, I said "can we fix it, yes we can!" He calmly says "that Bob the Builder Mommy not Hanny Manny". Oh boy, I guess I better learn to keep his cartoons straight!
