Back to normal

We are finally back on our normal schedule. Zack was a little fussy as I dropped him off at day care this morning but he came around pretty quickly. His teachers both said how glad they were to have him back and that he settled right back into their routine. He didn’t want me to leave but I think it is so good for him to be back with his friends where he can get organized activities and play time. He just seems to do so much better and learn so much more with structure and having different activities to occupy him. I must say it does feel good when he runs to me when I pick him up and he wants to leave immediately.

He talked to me all the way home tonight. I started playing the copy cat game with him and I repeated everything that he said. I don’t think he fully realized what was going on but he caught on enough that he kept saying new words. He went through a lot of what he knows including “Yoggie, Yoggie, Yoggie” (for Logan) and “Emma Emma Emma”. He has also started to look at the stop lights and recognize when it turns green/red. When we are stopped and he sees it turn green Zack will yell out “time to go go go Mommy”. He loves this song: Green means go, Yellow means slow, and Red means stop, stop, stop. I think it is from a Barney song that I learned a long time ago but that is all I remember of it.

Steve is off playing his hockey game tonight so I am going to go relax and post some pictures. We have so many pictures of our trip and I only have gotten them off of one camera – I still have to get the ones off of our big camera and from Linda.
