Better late then never
Today has just been absolutely crazy! I've
been running around all day putting out small fires. It's not
that anything major has happened, but so many small things that just
kept me busy. On the bright side the day has just flown by!
Can't ask for much more then that.
I get to work tonight as there is a scheduled maitenance window tonight starting at eleven...joy! It won't take more then 30 minutes, but that isn't the point. I'd much wrather be sleeping at eleven then working! I suppose I should take advantage of this time to tie up some lose ends with work, but I think I'm just going to go home early. Not that I'm really going all that early, but every little bit helps!
I did hear a funny story today, a little poetic justice if you will...When I interviewed for this position, I beat out somebody who felt he was far more qualified then I was. He could very well be, but nonetheless I was selected for this position over him and he didn't take it well. I guess when Colin, my boss, emailed him to let him know that the position was filled, Mr. X (I'll protect his identity because he's in enough trouble as it is) sent him an email proclaiming the ONE time he fixed a problem I was having. I really didn't even give a shit about the problem, he took it on himself to fix it. At any rate, Mr. X. aparently went to Vegas for the weekend. On his way back the stewardess instructed him to fasten his seatbelt to which he replied something to the effect of:

If you want it fastened then go ahead and fasten it yourself
or
the only way this belt is getting fastened is if you do it
As you can imagine, that went over like a fart in chuch; the stewardess
instructed the pilot to turn the plane around and return to the
terminal (not sure if it was airborne or not) where he was greeted and
arrested by the FBI. I hope you enjoy writing that on all your
employment applications Mr. X!!!or
