It seems that my life would not be complete with out more then it's fair share of problems!  I realize that some people have it far worse then I do, but still the ones I have seem important enough.  It was brought to my attention that a company I had gone to an organizational meeting for is intending to produce a product that is similar to the one which I have accepted a position for.  They are each targeting different professions, but the product is the same.  My dilemma is simply that I signed a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) when I met with the startup company and while ethically I have no intentions of violating the terms of the NDA, it could open up a world of problems for my new employer.  So what do I do?  I am slated to start this coming Monday and I only realized this Sunday.  I suppose I should call/email the new company and bring them up to speed and allow them to make a decision. 
    In further news, IBM was kissing my ass heavily yesterday, a first and second line manager were trying to convince me to renege my acceptance, claiming that thier offer would be far better.  I told them, with a smile, that I don't know what the future holds, and that I still don't have an offer in my hand, but if it were good enough AND the new job didn't appeal to me in the first 90 days, that it could still happen.  I'm pretty sure that I will love the new job and I'll make it known that I expect to be re-evaluated after 90 days for a pay increase.  Suppose I'll just have to wait and see how everything plays out.
